APPLICATION PROCEDURE

TUJA international student jazz festival will take place from 5th to 9th March 2024.
The deadline for applications is 4th January 2024 at 23:59.

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY?

  • TUJA offers you the opportunity to present your music on a tour in Estonia.
  • Although the festival name consists of the word “jazz”, we are more than happy to see other genres in our lineup as well!
  • Each group selected in the festival programme will get to perform two concerts of 30 to 40 minutes at the festival.
  • The festival offers you the opportunity to make international contacts and friends.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION

  • The group shall perform original music or original arrangements.
  • The size of the music group is a maximum of 4 people.
  • At least half of the members shall be students (musicians studying at secondary or higher level).
  • The group shall complete the OPEN CALL form by no later than 4th January 2023 at 23:59.
  • A demo submitted through OPEN CALL is a maximum of 4 minutes long.
  • The group shall prepare a complete 40 minute concert performance.
  • The group selected for the festival shall be ready to perform at the venues determined by the festival, on dates between 5th and 9th March 2024.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The festival offers music students a professional performance opportunity, high-level festival experience and broad public coverage in the media.
  • The festival provides young musicians the opportunity to make international contacts.
  • Groups will be selected for the festival programme from among the demos by a jury of musicians and festival organisers, based on the principle of blind listening.
  • The festival does not pay the performers and does not pay for transportation costs.
  • The festival pays and organizes transport in Estonia and pays for the accommodation of foreign collectives.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 4th JANUARY 2024 AT 23:59!

Participants will be confirmed on 19th January 2024 at the latest.
